     Sand carried into this harbor by the Black River has diminished the effective dockspace available to pleasure craft at this site.

     A hydraulic suction dredge was used to pump this sand overland for use as beach nourishment.  Once dredged, previously filled-in docks were placed back into use and are now generating revenue.

A hydraulic suction dredge works to deepen the mooring area.

This self propelled dredge works easily in confined areas.

Sediment is pumped one-quarter mile to be used for beach nourishment.
